As a business Baily Garner (Health & Safety) Ltd recognises the benefits 18001/45001 bring as a H&S management standard. The standard drives the business to establish a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk assessment which in turn leads to improvements in our overall ability to deliver an effective and innovative H&S management system across all our commissions.

We are equally aware of the importance of mental health & wellbeing and the impact on our ability to deliver our services and we are looking to embrace the new 45001 global standard to ensure we have practical steps and tools in place to protect the wellbeing of all our staff.

The Covid-19 pandemic has raised huge concerns about the impact of the virus on mental health and wellbeing across all sectors and in particular construction. As an employer we want to acknowledge and protect the mental health and wellbeing of staff by introducing some simple steps set within the standard with signposts to organisations who are able to provide assistance developing your own bespoke standard:
