Falls (39%), electrocutions (7%), being struck by objects (8%), and being caught in or between objects (i.e. compression by equipment or objects, caught, or crushed in a collapse) (5%) are four of the leading causes of construction worker fatalities. These are known as the “Fatal Four” by OSHA and account for more than half of all construction worker deaths each year. Below are some of Nigel's recent examples of good and poor practise.
