The Croft Centre

The Croft Centre is a multi-agency ‘one stop shop’ for disabled children and their families.  The site comprises two substantial sides, the south-easterly side houses a Nursery School (Windham Nursery).  The north-westerly side, the Croft Centre, houses the council service teams for Children with disabilities and learning difficulties, including various other services .

Vicky worked very closely with the project team  carried out a Site Waste Management Plan as well as acting as CDMC  during design and construction.

The work involved the redevelopment of the Croft Centre half of the building while the Windham Nursery remained fully operational.  The project involved a mix of demolition, new build and refurbishment works to the site.  This involved:

  • Demolition of stand alone Parks Building and Stores
  • A new two-storey ground and first floor extension of the existing building
  • Internal re-modelling, alterations and refurbishment
